Raptors Looking To Extend Marketing Reach With Vancouver Visit

The Raptors today will formally announce that preparations for the '14 season "will include workouts” at the Fortius Sport & Health facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. The team will open training camp at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, “then move it West to coincide” with an Oct. 5 exhibition game against the Kings at Rogers Arena. The Raptors most recent preseason appearance in Vancouver was in ’10 (VANCOUVER SUN, 7/23).

Meanwhile, the Wizards reportedly are planning to move their training camp back to Verizon Center after holding it at George Mason Univ. for "three of the past four seasons" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 7/22).
