San Antonio Fans Brave Heat To Celebrate Spurs' NBA Championship

The city of San Antonio estimated that 100,000 people yesterday “endured 90-degree heat to line the River Walk” for the Spurs’ NBA Championship victory parade. Another 75,000 fans were in the Alamodome (AP, 6/19). Officials "stopped letting people into the Alamodome because it was at capacity" about an hour before the start of the rally (MYSANANTONIO.com, 6/18).

Meanwhile, thousands of people "flocked to the beach" yesterday for the Kings' Stanley Cup victory parade "through the South Bay beach cities." The Kings held their L.A. victory parade on Monday (L.A. DAILY NEWS, 6/19).
