KPMG indicated that it plans to continue sponsoring golfer Phil Mickelson, who is being investigated for insider trading. In a statement, KPMG said, “We have had a very strong relationship with Phil for a number of years, and we fully expect it to continue” (WSJ.com, 6/2).
The NBA has fined Knicks President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson $25,000 for stating that Thunder G Derek Fisher was a candidate for the Knicks’ coaching position. Jackson made the comments Friday “to a group of reporters who regularly cover the Knicks” (N.Y. TIMES, 6/3).
