Boise State Set To Announce Naming-Rights Deal For Bronco Stadium

Boise State today will announce that it has reached a naming-rights deal for Bronco Stadium after the school has been "trying to sell" those rights to its famously blue-turfed football venue since "at least" '97. The school "will likely have to share the naming revenue with Learfield Sports, which owns the athletic department's marketing rights." The portions of the Learfield deal made public are "unclear on naming rights," but "in general Learfield provides an annual guarantee to Boise State and shares revenue beyond a certain threshold at a 50-50 split" (IDAHO STATESMAN, 5/21).
