Rochelle Sterling, Lawyer Vow To Fight Efforts To Push Them Out

Clippers co-Owner Rochelle Sterling granted interviews to the N.Y. TIMES and NBC's "Today" show, where she was the first story after her husband's appearance with Anderson Cooper. Asked by Savannah Guthrie if she believes the NBA can force her husband to sell, she said, “I think I agree with what their decision is. I don’t agree with what their decision is for me. I wholly feel that I’ve done nothing wrong. ... Why am I the victim when he’s the perpetrator? If somebody kills somebody, does the wife have to stand trial too?” Asked how far she would fight any NBA attempt to force her out: “As far as I can go" ("Today," NBC, 5/13).

The N.Y. TIMES goes with the header, "Clippers’ Co-Owner: 'I Didn’t Do Anything Wrong' ... Rochelle Sterling Tells Her Side of the Story." Her attorney, Pierce O'Donnell, said of taking on the NBA, "We're ready to go to war if we have to." O'Donnell, on possible legal action, "I want to know a lot of different things about the records of the NBA and what information they have about the conduct or misconduct of other owners that was not acted upon" (N.Y. TIMES, 5/13).
