In this morning's Hot Read, ESPN baseball analyst Doug Glanville writes about a recent incident involving the police outside his home in Hartford, Conn., under the headline, “I Was Racially Profiled In My Own Driveway” (THE ATLANTIC, 4/’14 issue).

FIFA today is “opening its last-minute phase of World Cup ticketing” and the U.S. is currently “the No. 2 country in terms of demand for tickets – behind only the host country Brazil.” The U.S. was outside the top ten in ticket sales for the ’10 World Cup in South Africa (NYPOST.com, 4/15).

The Raptors announced plans to broadcast all of their upcoming playoff games "on the giant screen in Maple Leaf Square outside" of Air Canada Centre. The events, dubbed "Party in the Square," will begin two hours before tip off and will be free to the public (TORONTO STAR, 4/15).
