Several MLB RSNs Post Record Opening Day Local Ratings

The MLB season got off to a fast start on Monday, with several RSNs setting local ratings records and the Angels and Orioles posting their biggest ever Opening Day ratings. The Angels posted a 2.91 local rating on FS West in L.A. for their game against the Mariners, and the Orioles delivered a 12.3 rating in Baltimore on MASN for their game against the Red Sox. In St. Louis, the Cardinals posted their highest rating for a road opener, as their game against the Reds averaged an 11.1.

Other notes: the Tigers had the club's second-highest Opening Day rating on FS Detroit, as their game against the Royals averaged a 14.9 rating; the D-Backs game against the Giants averaged a 6.0 rating on FS Arizona, the highest home opener rating since '04; and the Mets' 4.1 rating for their game against the Nationals is the highest Opening Day rating on SportsNet N.Y. since '08.
