Night Moves....Hope Springs Eternal

Last night's 11:00pm ET edition of FS1's "Fox Sports Live" led with Twins-White Sox, which FS1's Greg Wolf noted were the "bottom two teams in the A.L. Central standings in 2013." FS1 was all about MLB coverage for the first 20 minutes of the broadcast, airing Opening Day highlights from numerous games before showing Spurs-Pacers highlights. The 11:30pm ET edition of ESPN's "SportsCenter" led with an update on the women's NCAA Tournament, followed by extensive Opening Day coverage. ESPN's first non-MLB report was also Spurs-Pacers.

Robert Flores, filling in for Keith Olbermann on ESPN2's "Olbermann" last night, did not air a "world's worst" persons in sports segment. Flores said, "'Olbermann' is next and by the way, I am not Olbermann." Flores noted at the end of the broadcast, "I was told I'm going to be hosting all week. I've done enough damage here to keep the seat warm" (ESPN2, 3/31).
