Foxwoods Becomes Green Monster Sponsor, Replacing Covidien

Foxwoods Resort Casino is the new sponsor of Fenway Park’s Green Monster after signing a multiyear deal with the Red Sox. The agreement, which runs through the '18 season, is valued at seven figures annually, sources said. Foxwoods, a team sponsor for the past eight years, replaces Covidien, the healthcare firm that had naming rights to the left-field wall since '07. In addition to putting its name on the iconic structure at Fenway, Foxwoods becomes a major sponsor at JetBlue Park, the team's Spring Training venue in Fort Myers, Fla. The casino also expands its financial support of the Red Sox Foundation, the team’s nonprofit group.
