Nike Shares Swing From Gain To Loss After Earnings Call Forecasts

Nike shares "swung to a loss in the extended session" yesterday as the company "forecast slower-than-expected earnings growth" in its Q3 earnings call with analysts. Shares fell 3.7% to $76.31 "on heavy volume" after Nike said that it "expects foreign-exchange headwinds to drag on earnings growth significantly into fiscal 2015 with earnings per share growth to be 'somewhat below our midteens range.'" Shares "had traded higher" after the company reported Q3 earnings of $0.76 a share on revenue of $6.97B (MARKETWATCH.com, 3/20).
