PGA Of America Looking At Non-Traditional Ways To Grow Game

The PGA of America BOD today announced the creation of a PGA Task Force to grow the game through non-traditional means. PGA of America President Ted Bishop said, “There is nothing that I have been part of to-date that is more important and has greater opportunity.” Below is a list of Task Force members (PGA of America).

Bishop appeared on Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” today to announce the initiative. Bishop: "We need to go out there and rack up some immediate victories and show the industry and our PGA members that this thing is going to make a difference." He added, "We need to look at an alternative set of guidelines that we take that will allow the recreational players the opportunity to go out and enjoy the game with a more relaxed set of rules” (“Morning Drive,” Golf Channel, 3/12).
