The Markham (Ont.) City Council last night postponed a vote on “staying in partnership with controversial businessman Graeme Roustan in building an NHL-ready arena” (GLOBE & MAIL, 12/4).

The Canadiens have acquired concert promoter L'Equipe Spectra, a deal that "dramatically shakes up the Montreal music scene." The NHL team's parent company Groupe CH also owns Evenko, the "top concert promoter" in Quebec (Montreal GAZETTE, 12/4).

The Univ. of Dayton has signed a five-year deal with ProSource that "includes title sponsorship of the UD Arena Ticket Office." Per the deal, the ProSource logo "will be featured on the LED courtside panel, the basketball goal and the replay video boards" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/4).

Coca-Cola is running a two-page ad in this morning's USA Today featuring NASCAR drivers Danica Patrick, Joey Logano, Denny HamlinTony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Greg Biffle with the copy, "Here's To Another Great Coca-Cola Racing Family Season" (THE DAILY).
