NASCAR racing "seems to remain popular in New England" as crowds for Saturday's Nationwide Series and Sunday's Cup Series races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway "were both very strong" (THATSRACIN.com, 7/14).

Sky today will debut a new TV spot starring David Beckham as part of "its campaign to strangle BT Sport's challenge to its EPL supremacy at birth." The spot shows the "various platforms on which Sky football is available – online, tablet, mobile and TV – interacting supposedly seamlessly with a day in the life of Becks" (London DAILY MAIL, 7/12).

ESPN this week is expected to announce the host for the Summer X Games from '14-16. The four finalists are Austin, Charlotte, Chicago and Detroit (AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN, 7/15).

The D'Backs have become the first MLB team to "have its game broadcast in Navajo." The team's game against the Brewers on Saturday was broadcast by Dan Arnold and George LaFrance on KTNN-AM, a Navajo-language station in Window Rock, Ariz. (AP, 7/13).
