Oklahoma City Expected To Receive NASL Expansion Franchise

Oklahoma City is expected to receive an NASL expansion franchise at a meeting of the league's BOG July 25-26 in Dallas. The franchise would be owned by AdvancePierre Foods General Partner Jim McLoughlin and would begin play in '15 at Taft Stadium. NASL Commissioner Bill Peterson has invited McLoughlin to make a presentation at the meeting of the league's primary owners on July 25 at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas. According to a source, the Oklahoma City franchise will be approved before the session closes the following day.
