ACC Payout To Schools Jumps To Average $16.9M For '11-12

The ACC's 12 member schools split more than $203M in revenue for an average of $16.9M per school during the '11-12 academic year, up nearly 38% from the '10-11 figure of $12.3M. The conference reported $223.5M in revenue for '11-12 and $223.8M in expenses for a new loss of $303,295. The "biggest revenue generators" were football TV rights ($130.5M), bowl games ($43.8M), and the NCAA men's basketball tournament ($17.7M). The ACC paid Commissioner John Swofford $1.67M, up 14.1% from $1.46M in '10-11 (Greensboro NEWS & RECORD, 5/29).
