The NBA Summer League has announced that for the first time it will feature a "format that includes preliminary games followed by a single-elimination tournament where a champion will be crowned." Summer League play begins July 12 in Las Vegas, with the championship game set for July 22 (AP, 5/1).

The Int’l Rugby Board today announced that London’s Olympic Stadium “will host four matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup” (REUTERS, 5/2).
