The Double-A Southern League Birmingham Barons and Regions Bank unveiled the logo for the team's new ballpark, Regions Field. Local firm Luckie & Co. designed the logo (AL.com, 1/23).

Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group is "down to as many as five possible team names" for its CFL expansion team slated to begin play in '14. Focus groups have been shown five names: Nationals, Raftsmen, Voyageurs, Rush and RedBlacks (OTTAWA SUN, 1/24).

The Triple-A PCL Tucson Padres have signed a deal for all of their games this season to be aired on KCUB-AM, a CBS Sports Radio affiliate. The team's games last year were broadcast by KXEW-AM, a non-sports station (AZSTARNET.com, 1/23).
