Golf Channel in a filing today will ask the city of Orlando for financial incentives to "help it create 75 new media and telecommunications jobs next year." The network also plans to "expand its local headquarters and invest $1.9 million in construction and equipment" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/29).

A record third-round crowd of 16,981 on Saturday attended the Tiger Woods-hosted World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Sunday's crowd of 19,777 was the second-largest final-round crowd for the tournament, giving it a six-day total of 66,520, "the second-largest tournament total in the history of the event" (DAILYNEWS.com, 12/3).
