England's FA Opens New Training Facility With Royal Fanfare

England's FA opened its new national soccer training center at St. George's Park today in an event that featured the country's "football stars," as well as an appearance by Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton. The facility "covers 330 acres and has 11 external pitches, a dedicated practice and training area for goalkeepers and sports pavilions for post-training de-briefs." All of England's 24 national teams "will use the site as their training base ahead of international fixtures" (MIRROR.co.uk, 10/9).
