MLBAM Partners With Shazam To Place Content On Mobile App

MLBAM has signed a partnership with California-based media engagement outfit Shazam to help drive awareness and consumption of the postseason on mobile devices. Users of the Shazam mobile app will have access to MLB video highlights, live scores and statistics, news, social media sharing, and one-click access to MLB.com and the league's At Bat application. The deal represents Shazam's first league partnership after an initial focus on music discovery and song recognition.

Shazam in recent months has focused heavily on creating second-screen experiences on smartphones and tablets to act in concert with TV programming.
