NFL-NFLRA Agreement Leads Morning Shows, Makes Front Pages

This morning’s major network news shows all led with the NFL and NFLRA agreeing to a new deal. ABC’s John Muller: "Our long, national referee nightmare is over" (“GMA,” 9/27). CBS’ Jeff Glor: "In the end, it should be noted what the referees got does not appear to differ enormously from that what they were asking just recently, leading some to wonder, 'Why wasn’t this avoided, this extended delay?'" (“CBS This Morning,” 9/27). NBC’s Savannah Guthrie: "When you look at this agreement it appears the league caved with officials getting pretty much everything they wanted" (“Today,” 9/27).
