SAP Becomes 49ers' Third Founding Partner For New Stadium

The 49ers have signed business software and analytics firm SAP as the third founding partner for their new stadium, a deal that covers naming rights to the team’s practice facility. The SAP Training Center will be the new name of the practice facility, adjacent to the stadium under construction in Santa Clara. As part of the deal, the 49ers will use SAP analytics, mobility and real-time systems to grow social media platforms on 49ers.com, Twitter and Facebook, and tie those programs to game presentations. SAP joins tech firms Brocade and Violin Memory as founding partners.

The $1.2B stadium is 15% completed with 25% of steel beams installed, and is on track to open in August ‘14, according to 49ers officials.
