Google's doodle today will "let users play a basketball game to celebrate" the U.S. men's national team's quarterfinal game in London (LATIMES.com, 8/7). The search engine has been running an Olympic theme on its landing page since the Games began, with the last two days being interactive (THE DAILY).

Procter & Gamble is running a full-page ad in this morning's USA Today featuring members of the U.S. women's gymastic team posing with their all-around Gold Medal. The ad, which features the logos of Clairol, CoverGirl, Gillette Venus, Olay, Pantene and Secret, reads, "Your Accomplishments Inspire Us" (THE DAILY).
