Larry Probst: USOC, IOC Making Progress On Revenue Sharing Talks

USOC Chair Larry Probst said that talks between his organization and the IOC "on revising their revenue sharing agreement are progressing." Probst, speaking at the USOC's London Games Media Summit yesterday in Dallas, "acknowledged that officials had been purposely vague on the substance of the talks, something they had promised the IOC." But he "insisted that didn't indicate a lack of progress." Probst: "I can tell you we continue to make progress. We haven't gone backwards at any point in the discussions" (AFP, 5/13).

The Media Summit began yesterday and runs through tomorrow. The first day was highlighted by a Michael Phelps press conference. Today's agenda includes an appearance by First Lady Michelle Obama, who will promote her Let's Move! childhood fitness initiative (THE DAILY).
