Nets Unveil New Team Logos, Black And White Color Palette

The Nets this morning unveiled their new team logos and black and white color scheme as the franchise moves closer to its relocation to the Barclays Center next season. The logo was created by rapper Jay-Z, a Brooklyn native and part owner of the franchise. “The Brooklyn Nets logos are another step we’ve made to usher the organization into a new era,” he said in a statement. “The boldness of the designs demonstrate the confidence we have in our new direction.”

The Nets' secondary logo is also black and white. “Our black and white colors speak to Brooklyn’s strong traditions and grittiness and convey an uncompromising confidence,” said Nets & Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark in a statement. As part of their new identity launch, the Nets have launched a “Hello Brooklyn” marketing campaign.
