Andre Agassi and trainer Gil Reyes today at the Int'l Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association's trade show in L.A. will unveil their joint venture "to make and sell exercise equipment based on the strength and conditioning routine Agassi" followed during his career (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 3/14).

The Birmingham Design Review Commission has unanimously "approved the site plan and design" of the new $64M Regions Field ballpark to be built downtown. The ballpark, designed by HKS Architects, will be the home of the Double-A Southern League Birmingham Barons (AL.com, 3/14).

Univ. of Michigan regents today will "vote on whether to approve the name change" of Crisler Arena to Crisler Center at their monthly meeting at the Michigan Union (ANNARBOR.com, 3/13).

Columbia Sportswear this week continued layoffs as the outdoor apparel company "trims approximately 80 employees worldwide." Most of the layoffs, part of a 2% labor force reduction, occurred at the Oregon-based company's HQs and in Europe (OREGONLIVE.com, 3/14).

The S.F. Recreations & Park Commission today will discuss the proposal to revise the city's contract with the PGA Tour and "the new deal probably will gain approval." The proposal calls for S.F. to "gain two more Champions Tour events at Harding Park" for agreeing to push back the course's "next PGA Tour event to 2016" (SFGATE.com, 3/14).
