The Insight Bowl is "losing its title sponsor and game organizers are seeking a replacement for this year's game." Tempe-based Insight Enterprises has sponsored the college football bowl game since '97, but "has allowed its sponsorship contract to expire" (AP, 1/27).

Scotiabank has renewed its partnership to continue its role as the official bank of the NHL in Canada. The bank and the league first partnered in '07 (NHL).

The NHL awards program this year will return to Las Vegas "as part of a new multiyear deal signed with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority" (LVRJ.com, 1/28).

The Raiders will hold a news conference today at noon PT to formally introduce Dennis Allen as the team's new coach (OAKLAND TRIBUNE, 1/28).

Organizers of the PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open estimated about 150,000 people attended last week's tournament at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif., and said that the attendance was "almost 15 percent better than last year's attendance" (10NEWS.com, 1/29).

The total attendance for the eight-day U.S. Figures Skating Championships, which was held Jan. 22-29 at HP Pavilion, was 102,619. Attendance for last year's event at Greensboro Coliseum, which was held over nine days, was 110,787. The event's attendance record was set in '10, when a total of 158,170 people attended the 11-day championships at Spokane Arena (THE DAILY).

A sellout crowd of 17,425 attended Saturday's UFC on Fox 2 event, which was headlined by the Rashad Evans-Phil Davis bout, at United Center in Chicago (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 1/29).
