Colts Expected To Announce They Are Retaining Coach Jim Caldwell

Reports indicate the Colts today or tomorrow will announce that they are retaining Jim Caldwell as coach, and the INDIANAPOLIS STAR's Mike Chappell writes that is "not what ... a lot of Colts fans want to hear" (INDYSTAR.com, 1/16). The Fort Wayne NEWS-SENTINEL's Reggie Hayes writes Colts Owner Jim Irsay and new GM Ryan Grigson "will need to be creative to convince Colts fans that another season of Caldwell is in line with 'rebuilding' and 'returning to glory'" (Fort Wayne NEWS-SENTINEL, 1/17). The INDIANAPOLIS STAR's Phillip Wilson writes he has "heard from fans who have said they won't renew their season tickets if Caldwell stays" (INDYSTAR.com, 1/16).
