The Ramsey County Commissioners today will consider issuing a request for qualifications "asking engineering and architectural firms to submit their credentials" for a potential Vikings stadium, which "could be one of the most expensive public projects" in Minnesota history (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 12/20).

The Hawks this morning paid northbound and southbound tolls on Ga. 400 from 7:00-9:00am ET "to promote the return of NBA basketball after a five-month lockout." A contingent from the team, including Dominique Wilkins, was at the toll plaza handing out magnet schedules and $50 holiday cards that "can be used toward purchasing Hawks game tickets" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 12/20).

Hilton HHonors has signed a multiyear agreement to be the official hotel partner of USA Diving (USA Diving).

The Respect Your Universe (RYU) apparel line today announced that it has signed UFC fighter Jon Fitch to their first athlete endorsement deal (RYU).

ESPN announced plans for ESPNU to televise nine consecutive weeks of ACC Olympic sporting events as part of the net's new 12-year deal with the conference. "ACC Mondays" will air on ESPNU on Mondays at 7:00pm ET starting in the spring (ESPN).
