IMG Says It Is Cooperating With DOJ College Licensing Inquiry

IMG said that the U.S. Department of Justice "has opened an investigation" into the $4.5B college licensing business. IMG's Collegiate Licensing Co., the "biggest player" in the space representing more than 200 properties, said that it is "cooperating with the inquiry." CLC Senior VP & Managing Dir Cory Moss said that the DOJ "had opened a preliminary inquiry in how colleges and universities select which companies they license and how they determine their royalty rates" (USA TODAY, 12/1).
