NCAA BOD Will Discuss Reform Changes During Today's Meeting

The NCAA Division I BOD today is meeting in Indianapolis and is "expected to act quickly" on four issues on the meeting's agenda: boosting scholarships to cover the full cost of attendance, multiyear scholarships, changes in summer basketball recruiting, and postseason bans for poor classroom performance. The BOD will also hear from two working groups, "one that is looking at a new penalty structure, the other trying to edit the NCAA's massive rulebook." No changes are expected before the BOD's "next meeting in January and more likely until April" (AP, 10/26).
