Today marks the last issue of Sporting News Today, but Sporting News plans to launch a new "free, personalized digital daily sports magazine" in September. Sporting News President and Publisher Jeff Price declined to comment on the forthcoming product, but a notice sent to Sporting News Today subscribers refers to a variety of features including customized news and social media integration. Sporting News Today originally launched in '08 as a free product, and then earlier last year shifted to a pay model, with users charged $2.99 per month. This only impacts Sporting News Today. The bi-weekly magazine will continue to publish as normal.
