NFL Network Moving Rich Eisen Off "Total Access" Hosting Duties

NFL Network today will announce that its "Total Access" weeknight show "will go from having a single host to co-hosts" and that Rich Eisen will no longer host the show. He "will continue the on-site pregame and postgame shows" for the net's Thursday night games, as well as his "on-air Sunday marathons involving pregame shows and postgame highlights." Eisen said that the reduced airtime "will allow him to focus more on his 'Podcast' show." The net also will announce plans to install "at-home cameras for eight of its analysts," including Brian Billick and Michael Irvin (USA TODAY, 8/29).

An NFL spokesperson indicated that the move was made to give more consistently to "Total Access," as Eisen only hosted the show one night a week during the regular season. Eisen will continue to host the net's special programming, including coverage of the Super Bowl, NFL Draft and HOF induction (THE DAILY).
