Giants-Jets Game Set For Tonight After Hurricane Forces Rescheduling

Tonight's Giants-Jets preseason game is "still scheduled to be played" at 7:00pm ET, as MetLife Stadium "suffered no damage from Hurricane Irene" and still had power as of yesterday afternoon. The Mets-Marlins doubleheader today at Citi Field "is on." The Mets decided yesterday afternoon that the games will go ahead (PALMBEACHPOST.com, 8/28). The Marlins-Phillies game was moved from Sunday to Saturday afternoon but was "postponed before the first pitch because of rain." NYRA canceled Sunday's racing at Saratoga Race Course (AP, 8/27).
