Medical Mutual of Ohio has reached a deal to become the MLS Crew's official health insurer through the '13 season. Per the deal, Medical Mutual will become presenting sponsor of the team's weekly radio show, will have signs in Crew Stadium, commercial spots on radio broadcasts and advertising in the Free Kick game program (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/26).

The European PGA Tour announced that Heineken has become an official sponsor of this week's Irish Open at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club (European PGA Tour).

T’Wolves F Kevin Love "plans to play in next month’s Manhattan Beach Open" on the Jose Cuervo Pro Beach Volleyball Series. The opportunity to play in the tournament “came when Love was approached by representatives of Jose Cuervo, the tour sponsor that has four events scheduled this year” (AP, 7/26).

Last night's Juventus-Club America soccer match at Citi Field drew a crowd of 20,859. The match was part of the Herbalife World Football Challenge (N.Y. TIMES, 7/27).
