As Kings' Arena Name Changes, Fans Implore Team Not To Move

Arco Arena in Sacramento as of today will officially transition to Power Balance Pavilion under its new naming-rights deal. The "words Arco Arena already have been taken off the building" (L.A. TIMES, 3/1). With the NBA Kings considering a move to Anaheim, a sold-out crowd attended last night's home game against the Clippers, which the Kings won 105-99. Fans offered "full-throated cheers" of "Save our Kings!" The team has asked for an extension of today's deadline to request relocation (SACRAMENTO BEE, 3/1).
