Local Officials To Begin Talks For Vikings Stadium In Arden Hills

The Ramsey County (Minn.) Board of Commissioners today is expected to "start negotiating the development" of a new Vikings stadium in Arden Hills. Four of five city council members, including Arden Hills Mayor David Grant, said that they "see strong benefits to building the NFL facility at the site of the abandoned Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant." But council members "stopped short of saying they would support construction without knowing more." The site is not owned by the city (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/15).

Meanwhile, Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission Chair Ted Mondale and Vikings VP/Public Affairs & Stadium Development Lester Bagley today will "headline a breakfast" at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel hosted by NAIOP, a commercial real estate development firm (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/15).
