Today's NFL CBA Talks Canceled Following Yesterday's Session

Progress toward getting a new NFL labor deal done before the CBA expires on March 4 appeared to have stalled yesterday after plans to hold another negotiating session for today was canceled. It is not entirely clear what happened between negotiators for the NFL and the NFLPA yesterday during a session that was held in a secret location in or near DC. One source said that today's session was canceled due to lack of progress but that neither side walked out of the talks.
NFLPA officials did not respond to multiple phone calls and e-mails. NFL Senior VP/PR Greg Aiello declined to answer questions about the negotiations, saying, "We are not confirming, denying or commenting on CBA meetings" (Liz Mullen, SportsBusiness Journal).
Meanwhile, sources said that a "league ownership meeting scheduled for next week has been canceled, too" (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 2/10).
