THE DAILY QUESTION

The Daily Question category is “Rivers.”

What is the longest river in Asia?

LAUGH TRACK

THEMONOLOGUES:

CBS’ DavidLetterman: “How many folks watched the Super Bowl yesterday?  I thought it was a great game, but stuffdidn’t really work out for me.  You knowI like to gamble a little bit and it just uh, here’s what happened: If thePatriots had gotten two safeties and the Panthers scored another touchdown, buthad the point after touchdown blocked, I would have won the office pool. … Howmany of you saw that thing with Janet Jackson?  I’ll be honest, I was happy to see that happen because that meantfor one night, I wasn’t the biggest boob on CBS” (“The Late Show,” CBS, 2/2).

NBC’sJay Leno: “What a crowd.  Yousound like Bill Clinton after watching the Lingerie Bowl. … I lost$1,000.  I bet that Janet Jackson wouldshow her left breast.  You watch thathalftime show?  Finally a halftime showfor straight guys. … For once, a Jackson getting molested.  Michael was so shocked, he knockedover his can of Jesus Juice. … For viewers here in Los Angeles, it was realshocking.  Most guys in this town, they’ve never seen a real breast.  Ijust hope this doesn’t tarnish, in any way, the good name of the Jacksonfamily.  All it takes is one littlescandal. … CBS today apologized for Janet showing her breast.  Forget that, how about CBS apologizing for Richardshowing his fat ass on ‘Survivor.’ That’s what I would like to see. I love how they get all high and mighty.  CBS said, ‘That moment didn’t conform to CBS standards.’  What standards?  They showed a commercial with a horse farting in a women’s face.… People act like they’re so shocked at seeing a breast in the halftimeshow.  You watch this show every yearand every commercial is for an impotence drug. They finally show something that might give you a real erection, and ‘Ohmy God, what are we going to do’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 2/2).

LATENIGHT LAUGHS:

Last night’s Top Ten was “Top Ten Things You Don’t Want ToHear From The Guy At Starbucks,” read by a Starbucks employee to unsuspectingcustomers (“Late Show,” CBS, 2/2).

10) “We ran out of coffee filters, so I’m using one of my old undershirts.”

9) “Try our triple cappuccino.  It’s a legal alternative to crack.”

8) “Let me make sure that’s not too hot.” (Employee sips from customer’s coffee)

7) “You know, I licked every one of these stirrers.”

6) “One Decaf Venti Skim Latte – $39.”

5) “Sugar with that?” (Employee dips hand into bin of sugar before putting into coffee)

4) “Grande Caramel Macchaito?  Talk English!”

3) “If I catch any of you people going into a Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee, I’ll break your legs!”

2) “Some whipped cream for you ... and some whipped cream for me.” (After putting whipped cream on coffee, employee shoots some directly into his mouth)

1) “After work, I’m gonna pick up a hooker-uccino.”
