Heisman Winner Baker Mayfield Picks Waterhouse Hayes For Off-Field Representation

Oklahoma QB and Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield has picked L.A.-based agency Waterhouse Hayes to represent him in all off-field endeavors, but he is still trying to decide whether or not he will hire an NFL agent to represent him on the field. "He is trying to decide between having an agent or not having an agent at all," Waterhouse Hayes co-Founder Lindsey Waterhouse said. "He's not sold on it yet." She also knocked down rumors that a member of Mayfield's family would represent him. Waterhouse Hayes will be rep Mayfield in PR as well as endorsements. Waterhouse said she has been in talks with shoe, memorabilia, and trading card companies about deals for Mayfield. He also will appear in a digital series about his life and his journey to the NFL Draft that will debut on his social media channels, Waterhouse said. "I don't think many people understand what he is really about, so it is important to tell that story," Waterhouse said, adding that she is looking for a sponsor for the series. Mayfield is one of several QBs that could be selected in the first round of this year's NFL Draft.
