Conor McGregor, LeBron James Rank As Most Valuable On Social Media In '17

Thanks in part to his mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Conor McGregor was the most valuable athlete on social media in '17, according to data from MVPindex. The rankings are measured by reach, engagement and conversation. McGregor was followed by Cavaliers F LeBron James at No. 2 and Warriors G Stephen Curry at No. 3. NBA and tennis players were the most valuable athletes on social, as each had seven athletes in MVPindex's top 25. The rankings did not include WWE entertainers or competitors from the world of esports (THE DAILY).
