Univ. Of Colorado Sees Increase In Football Attendance, Season-Ticket Sales

The Univ. of Colorado averaged 47,056 fans for its six football games at Folsom Field this past season, a "slight increase" from the '16 average of 46,609, according to Brian Howell of the Boulder DAILY CAMERA. CU AD Rick George said, "One of the things that we did really well again is we got the students engaged and that was real important. Our fan base came out and bought tickets." The school "sold all of its 11,500 student passes, and sold 20,808 season tickets to the public." There was a "significant jump in season tickets, from the 18,011 sold" in '16. That is the "sixth-largest jump in season ticket sales since records have been kept post-World War II." Much of the jump in season tickets "could be attributed" to the team's 10-4 season in '16 (DAILYCAMERA.com, 12/7).
