Credit One Bank To Fill Some Of The Void On Ganassi's No. 42 As Target Deal Ends

Credit One Bank will fill a sizable part of the void that Target is giving up next season on Chip Ganassi Racing's No. 42 Chevy driven by Kyle Larson, according to sources. Target is ending its deal with the team after the '17 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, and the team has been working to fill the approximately 20 races in which the retail chain had served as primary sponsor. Las Vegas-based Credit One Bank, which also serves as the official credit card of NASCAR, came aboard the No. 42 this year after first starting its relationship with CGR the prior season when it served as a primary sponsor on Jamie McMurray's No. 1 Chevy for several races. Target had served as primary sponsor for the whole season before it cut back last season, allowing Credit One to take some races with Larson, who won four races this year. While the precise amount of races that Credit One will fill is unclear, sources said it will be a sizable amount. The team declined comment. Credit One works with Charlotte-based Bespoke Sports & Entertainment on its NASCAR marketing. Payment processing company First Data also is a sponsor of the No. 42.
