The Heat Charitable Fund, the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation and Carnival Corporation are pledging up to $10M in funding and support for relief and rebuilding efforts in Florida and throughout the Caribbean following Hurrican Irma (Heat)....Seahawks QB RUSSELL WILSON and food company Eat the Ball are "being sued by a pair of former employees who claim they had not been paid since July." Wilson has been a spokesperson for the company since it launched in the U.S. in '14 and is "listed as a minority owner in the lawsuit" (SI.com, 9/15)....The Starmount Academy of Excellence in Charlotte received $100,000 from Hornets C DWIGHT HOWARD for the “operational expenses to begin a Boys and Girls Club at the elementary school” (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 9/15).
