Food For Thought: FanDuel Debuts New Ad Campaign For Upcoming NFL Season

FanDuel has debuted a new ad campaign for the upcoming NFL season via The Vault, N.Y. Similar to rival DraftKings and its new ad campaign, FanDuel’s effort seeks to highlight the fan experience elements of daily fantasy sports as opposed to focusing solely on financial winnings. A series of ads slated to run on national TV networks including ESPN, NFL Network and NBC links FanDuel’s games with popular football party and tailgating foods, such as nachos, wings and chili. “What does FanDuel do to your football season? The same thing cheese, guac, beans, salsa and beef do to chips. Makes it better,” one of the ads says in part. The ads also will run on digital outlets. The Vault previously worked with FanDuel on ads for its daily fantasy golf games. FanDuel’s planned marketing spend for the NFL season was not disclosed, but like DraftKings, will be far below the aggressive efforts of two years ago.
