Sports ticketing and hospitality firm QuintEvents named former Super Bowl 50 Host Committee President & CEO KEITH BRUCE President for the firm's new international unit. Bruce will be based out of a new office in S.F., but will spend significant time at QuintEvents' offices in London and Charlotte. The new QuintEvents Int'l unit will house the firm's F1 business and Bruce will lead the new F1 Experiences organization. Prior to Super Bowl 50, Bruce spent eight years as SportsMark Management Group President (QuintEvents).
MR. ROBINSON'S NEIGHBORHOOD: Sources said that the Knicks are naming Bucks VP/Player & Organizational Development CRAIG ROBINSON to a front office role, where he will "fill multiple roles for the franchise, including player development." Sources added that he will also serve as NBA G League Westchester Knicks GM (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 8/7). Robinson, the brother of former First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA, has been with the Bucks since last year and also had stints as Oregon State and Brown Univ. men's basketball coach (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 8/8). Robinson played basketball at Princeton, where he was a teammate of Knicks President STEVE MILLS (ESPN.com, 8/7).
EXECS: WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Administrator GLENDA FLAKER BUCHANAN, who "became the face of the golf tournament at Firestone Country Club" in Akron, Ohio, "will retire" on Sept. 29 after 24 years with the event. NANCY MUSCI will take over the role, and she has been "shadowing Buchanan to try to learn the daunting scope of the job" (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 8/8)....Learfield named USL club Sacramento Republic VP/Sales & Service ANDY FISKE GM for its UC-Davis Sports Properties. The new role comes as Learfield last week signed a multimedia rights deal with the university through the '27-28 school year (UC-Davis).
