Sources: NFL Considering Deal To Combine Legends Hospitality, On Location Experiences

The NFL is “considering” a deal that would combine its On Location Experiences with Legends Hospitality Management, according to sources cited by Futterman & Ramachandran of the WALL STREET JOURNAL. Sources said that MLBAM is "something of a model for a proposed combination." The deal would "provide travel and ticketing services for the league’s games and potentially many of the world’s top sporting events." Sources said that a deal is "not imminent and won’t be completed until the fall, if it goes through at all." The sources added that terms are "still being negotiated, but could value the combined company" at $1-1.5B. One "potential snag is that NFL owners must approve the deal, and some may be wary" of Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones -- who has a large stake in Legends -- and his "increasingly central role in the league’s business affairs." Sources said that Bruin Sports Capital and RedBird Capital Partners have "tripled On Location’s earnings" to more than $30M since acquiring a majority stake in the business from the NFL (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/2).
