Univ. Of Houston Makes Bud Light Official Beer Of UH Athletics In Deal Through '21

The Univ. of Houston and Bud Light have entered a partnership that makes it the "official beer" of the school, according to Joseph Duarte of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. The partnership will include UH's football, basketball and baseball programs and runs through '21. UH fans will have "access to the new Bud Light Beer Gardens at TDECU Stadium, Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park" and beginning in '18, the Fertitta Center. Bud Light will also be "featured with a party deck and club level bar inside TDECU Stadium." Duarte noted UH previously had a partnership with MillerCoors. The agreement is for "exclusive marketing rights for Bud Light." Earlier this month, Texas announced a deal that "makes Corona the official beer" of its athletics (CHRON.com, 7/26).
