Pistons Sign Agreement With Flagstar Bank To Be Jersey Sponsor For Upcoming Season

The Pistons have signed an agreement with Michigan-based Flagstar Bank to "sponsor the ad space on their jerseys" for the '17-18 season, according to Rod Beard of the DETROIT NEWS. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The ad will "feature the Flagstar logo in red, with white writing." Palace Sports & Entertainment Vice Chair Arn Tellem last month said that the Pistons were "close to a deal." The Pistons now become the 10th team "with a logo sponsor." The previous deals were "in the range" of $5-10M for multiyear commitments (DETROITNEWS.com, 7/26). In Detroit, Vince Ellis notes Flagstar was the "front-runner for naming rights at the Palace of Auburn Hills," but it is a "natural adjustment with the Pistons moving down to Little Caesars Arena next season" (FREEP.com, 7/26).
