Sibling Rivalry: Reebok Signs Steelers LB T.J. Watt, Joining Brothers J.J., Derek

Steelers LB T.J. Watt has agreed to an endorsement deal with Reebok, joining his brothers J.J. (Texans DE) and Derek (Chargers FB) as the "only football players Reebok currently has under contract," according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com. The Watts "won't be able to wear Reebok cleats on the field as only shoes with Nike, Under Armour and Adidas logos are permitted, per a marketing deal with the NFL" (ESPN.com, 7/12). CBSSPORTS.com's Cody Benjamin noted J.J. Watt is "touting new kicks and apparel through Reebok." The shoe, "dubbed the JJ II after Watt's initial JJ I release with the company, is a byproduct of the superstar's extended absence from the field." The shoe's color scheme has "variations of white and eye-black darkness." The JJ IIs cost $99 and will "hit stores nationwide" tomorrow. Watt's shoes are the "latest tangible proof of his ever-expanding brand," which "isn't all about raking in the money" (CBSSPORTS.com, 7/12).
